"Do it, Miss Celie!" is a fundraiser for the Bayard Rustin-Barbara Jordan Leadership Project.
The Baynard Rustin-Barbara Jordan Leadership Project is an initiative to support LGBT students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, in addition to students at other institutions of higher learning.
Drama, laughter, insults and introspection fly as five ex-college buddies have a ‘Come to Jesus’ when
they meet up for their annual Black Pride reunion in Atlanta. Led by their infamous, Color Purple-quoting,
drag-queen den mother, friendship and self-acceptance is put to the test as they all learn that unconditional
love starts at home.
